About Ascenda, Engagement Team
The Engagement team is committed to empowering our clients within our ecosystem. We help clients provide end users with a loyalty program platform that is fast, friendly UX, and accessible UI with many redemption options: Gift Cards, Offers, Merchandise, Travel Flight, Hotels, and Transfer Points. Our platforms are customizable from colors, and typography to fully dynamic homepage content that can be self-served via the admin application.
About the Role
We are seeking a Software Engineer, Full-Stack individual with a keen enthusiasm for shaping something entirely novel from its foundation. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for those passionate about solving real-world challenges by crafting cutting-edge APIs and designing high-quality, user-friendly, and accessible interfaces. Join our dynamic team and lead innovation at the forefront. Work closely with a small, agile group to create features that automate tasks and empower merchants with seamless self-onboarding and content management. Your role promises a significant impact, contributing to the development of an innovative solution.
As a Software Engineer Full-stack with the team you will:
Contribute to the development of both frontend and backend features for the platform.
Design and implement responsive front-end interfaces and robust backend functionalities with a focus on software design excellence.
Collaborate closely with the design team to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, ensuring seamless integration with underlying systems.
Promote and implement robust unit testing strategies to improve code reliability and maintainability across the project.
Take ownership of assigned tasks, engaging with various teams such as Project Manager, Product Owner, etc., to address business impact across the domain.
Job requirements
What we're looking for:
Deep experience in backend programming languages such as Ruby, Golang, or any other relevant languages. 3+ years experience in building backends that interact with UI frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, etc. Prior experience with our stack (Ruby, React) would be a bonus.
Previous experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React, or a willingness to learn React.
A fast learner with a curious nature, always ready to explore new languages and libraries. Important for making our system more scalable is understanding our stack and domain.
Strong communication: articulate complex ideas in a simple, relatable style.
A team player with a collaborative approach and willingness to assist others.
Demonstrates the qualities of a true product engineer.
You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and with teams across the organization.
