Join Us as a Data Scientist in Seattle OR Remote

The Role

Ascenda Loyalty is seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join our Product Marketing team. As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in leveraging data to derive actionable insights that drive business decisions and enhance the performance of Ascenda.com and our clients' loyalty programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze patterns, user funnels, experiment results, and conduct performance and conversion analytics.

Your Impact

• Analyze Ascenda.com data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.

• Conduct in-depth analysis of user behavior, including user funnels, cohort analysis, and segmentation.

• Collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering teams to design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to drive product improvements.

• Develop predictive models and algorithms to forecast user behavior, engagement, and loyalty program performance.

• Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights and make data-driven recommendations.

• Build dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and track performance against KPIs.

• Perform ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data science and analytics.

  
  

Who You Are

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Ph.D. preferred.

• 4+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist or similar role, with a focus on analyzing large datasets and deriving actionable insights.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy).

• Strong understanding of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and experimental design.

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.

• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases for data extraction and manipulation.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.

  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the loyalty or e-commerce industry.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

• Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.

• Familiarity with tooling such as AWS Redshift, DBT and AWS Quicksight
