Join us as VP of Product

Take on an exciting senior leadership role as VP of Product, with global responsibility for heading the company’s overall product function and leading a team of 15 product managers, UX specialists and UI designers.

You will be a driving force behind scaling Ascenda’s next-generation SaaS technology. Make a global impact in a high-growth technology company where innovation, speed to market and industry disruption are lived every single day.

You will be instrumental in developing and executing Ascenda’s multi-year product roadmap. With significant responsibility for shaping the company’s overall strategy, you will own the product vision and execute rapidly together with your team and Ascenda’s world-class engineering organization to deploy exceptional rewards propositions at speed.

Responsibilities

As VP of Product you will:

• Lead a product team encompassing product managers, UX specialists and UI designers across multiple levels

• You will build on Ascenda’s exciting SaaS solutions and lead your team through designing new product lines

• Set the product vision and roadmap in close collaboration with other functional leaders across Partnerships, Engineering, etc., informed by enterprise client needs

• Shape how major new rewards propositions are designed at Ascenda, evaluating carefully between buy / build / partner for the major solution components

• Guide the team in making the right trade-offs to balance revenue upside, great UX, beautiful design, technical elegance, speed to market, and compliance & regulatory considerations

• Execute rapidly by solving problems, removing obstacles and helping product managers, engineers and designers work effectively together to build great products

• Measure and analyze the performance of Ascenda’s products both financially and in terms of client & end-user satisfaction, to drive a rapid and continuous innovation agenda

• Provide strong people leadership and coaching to your cross-functional team

• Understand markets, industry landscapes, and user needs in depth

What you bring to the table:

You are an entrepreneurial generalist with deep product management experience and prior exposure to enterprise SaaS environments.You are curious, you love making things happen and are excited by the opportunity to have a big industry impact globally.

You have experience in distilling business goals into concrete product visions. You are adept at solving ambiguous problems, strong in coaching team members, and ambitious in executing with urgency .

What we are looking for:

• 15+ years experience in technology-centric roles, of which a majority should be in product management, and significant exposure to SaaS businesses including large enterprise SaaS

• Solid understanding of SaaS products, engineering practices, business metrics, and product metrics as well as SaaS go-to-market principles and practices

• Demonstrated ability to guide product managers, designers and engineers to collaborate effectively together to build great products

• Disciplined execution and project management skills to ensure a fast pace of product delivery

• Strong analytical skills to make fast, well-grounded decisions

• A leader and team player that can engage in rigorous debate and drive consensus towards the best outcomes

• A growth mindset, sense of urgency and strong appetite to drive global impact

• An empathetic coach who actively supports team member development

• Experience in launching new products from scratch in a high-growth technology company environment
