Senior Strategy Manager, Fintech

Job description

Nice to meet you! We are Ascenda.

Ascenda is a global fintech company that makes payments and banking more rewarding.

We turn things upside down with financial services propositions rooted in beautiful design, exceptional customer value and rapid deployment. Making world-class rewards accessible to billions of customers worldwide.

Join us as Senior Strategy Manager, Fintech

Location: Asia Pacific (based in Singapore HQ or remote from home office)

Take on a broad and impactful role as Senior Strategy Manager reporting directly to the company’s Chief Strategy Officer. It’s a unique opportunity to get senior level exposure across a rapidly growing global fintech business.

You will work closely with the C-Suite in driving critical analysis, crafting impactful communications to key company stakeholders, and moving new strategic initiatives forward.

We are looking for someone who has strong business and financial acumen, can serve as trusted advisor and brainstorming partner, and is exceptionally good at structured thinking and communicating.

As a Senior Strategy Manager you will:

  • Help the C-Suite make the best decisions through research, analysis, and outlining possible scenarios & options. From conducting competitor analysis on a newly emerging fintech vertical, to creating a plan for hiring a senior role, or benchmarking the compensation frameworks of leading tech companies.

  • Lead special initiatives that are important to the company, and which can’t live within an existing Ascenda function because they are so broad or new in nature

  • Support development of the strategy and roadmap for new initiatives and subsequently drive these through execution and completion.

  • Align internal and external stakeholders to deliver common goals. This includes crafting compelling communication materials and presentations for the Ascenda teams, board of directors, investors and strategic partners.

  • Facilitate well-run cross-functional discussions and monitor progress on action items, help pick owners and provide project management support for the execution of the plans of the C-Suite

  • Define and track big picture objectives and key results across all teams and verticals

  • Develop high quality processes to improve how we operate and drive culture company-wide.

You are an entrepreneurial generalist who is passionate about technology. You are curious, always learning, love making things happen and are exceptionally good at telling compelling business storylines via clear and well-designed presentations. You love being hands-on and keen to have a big impact in a fast-moving technology company environment.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Equipped with at least 5 years experience, preferably in management consulting, business finance or marketing / product management. Top-tier consulting firm background is a plus.

  • A curious generalist, who enjoys taking on challenges of all kinds

  • Very strong at structured thinking and writing, with an ability to design compelling storylines and craft visually powerful slides to bring them to life

  • Strong at project management, with detail-oriented execution and a sense of urgency to drive actions to completion

  • An inquisitive problem solver who asks the right questions to get to the essence

  • A critical thinker with demonstrated ability to weave data into the decision-making process, and good Excel skills to crunch the numbers

  • Good at building relationships and active listening to collaborate effectively across the company at all levels

  • Qualified with a Bachelor’s degree. MBA is a plus.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits

  • Travel perks

  • Flexible working conditions

  • Fast-paced environment with the opportunity to make a big impact

  • Diverse and friendly global team
